Painter

I paint in a studio near Dahlonega in North Georgia. Born in Dodge City, Kansas. Raised in Cody, Wyoming. I, though anchored in the geography and lore of the American West have lived and worked for decades in the South.

I have always drawn, painted and carved. I studied art at the University of Wyoming until lured away by computer graphics. After forty years of software engineering, I have returned to brush, pallet, paint and canvas.

Abstraction and modernism dominated my early years. I have now returned to the traditions of American landscape and wildlife painting.

I discovered long ago that to learn best, teach. Oil painting courses at the University of North Georgia Continuing Education allows me to share and learn.
